From round 1
are available now, and they've been fully revised to fix the problem we
had at around hour 1-2. If you notice any outstanding errors still, please flick us an email and we'll fix
them before publishing them as a final copy....
When the BMC
Working Week Series was first dreamt up, a small club in Lithgow that
was just reforming was the very first club to sign on. At a meeting in a
pub in Lithgow way back when the dinosaurs roamed, the new President of
the reformed club, Craig Flynn, and his new committee agreed to start
the very first Working Week Series.
That was 5
years ago, and since then we've become the biggest series in Australia,
and that small reforming club has hosted state rounds, national rounds,
built many tracks, attracted council-support, and so much more!
Thankfully though, some things don't change, and we're happy to again be
going to the fantastic Lidsdale course.
In the past, Lidsdale has done
everything from holding our events, to holding rounds of the National
Mountain Bike Series to even hosting State Downhill events! No doubt
we're in for another fantastic track in 2008. All of the pictures to the
right were taken at last year's event - it really is an idyllic forest
for MTB racing!
The challenge of
bike engineering is to design the lightest possible frame which at
the same time is very stiff, stable and safe, but still provides
optimal power transfer from you to the ground. In a world of
look-alike commodity bikes,
BMC Bicycles create fascination through
their unique Swiss design and technically perfect form. By combining
high tech materials from the industry’s leading suppliers, Swiss
engineering, and innovative frame designs, BMC Bicycles represent
Swiss cycling precision.
BMC have
engineered their Fourstroke (100mm) and Trailfox (120mm) series of
bikes with the XC and marathon rider in mind. By utilising custom
made precision bearings, compact forged pivot arms, and a closed
rear triangle, the BMC patented VPS (Virtual Pivot System)
suspension leads the industry in terms of stiffness and durability.
The tuned wheel displacement curve of the VPS and custom tuned
shocks ensure that VPS equipped bikes pedal as well as any other
design available. Lightweight, efficient, durable, and beautiful,
the Fourstroke and Trailfox embody all that BMC Bicycles represent.
In Australia BMC Bicycles are distributed by leading wholesaler
Dirt Works Australia.
Test ride a BMC
Fourstroke or Trailfox at a BMC WWS event this year. Let yourself be
captured by our passion!
