KHS WWS Round 6 2007 - Overall Team Results (all teams uncategorised)

230 teams all starting at once - on the bike (of course!) makes for a hectic few minutes....

Enjoying the quieter times in the event centre

Trevor Hill, one half of the winning Crank Bros Pairs Male category for both Round #6 and the series, Team KHS.

Craig Armour riding his way to 13th on the day, and a great 3rd place in the KHS WWS for 2007.

Celia Thompson, one member of "Celes Plus" team in the ODI Pairs Mixed category, showing that it is possible to corner and smile.

Daniel Mikic from the Southern Highlands, a regular competitor in our races and always seen at the 'trackstand competition' too.

Ian Preston from the NoTubes Pairs Masters Men category, going for the understated grey & black look (although we're pretty sure he hasn't been named as one of the 'men in black' road riders!)

Jeremy Allen standing up and cruising it down the trail.

Kylie Jenkins riding along and proudly advertising her attendance at last year's CORC Scott 24 Hour.

Tim Bateman from the Wheeler Rotor 3 team, one of the guys responsible for building the fantastic SORCC track we rode in Round 2 this year.

Brendan Pitt, one of the WSMTB Club juniors we sponsor, hooking into a corner on his way to a second place in the series with the rest of the "big guys" team.

Michaela Hogan, another WSMTB junior rider, out of the saddle and climbing. To paraphrase Murray Walker: "you can see the concentration written across her sunglasses".

Interviewing Jason English, winner of the KHS Solo Male category for the round and series.

The future of the sport - the junior's podium, all looking tired with good reason.

Results Race 5

It almost rained.... but thankfully only a little in the end!

More pictures to come soon, but see below for a taste of yesterday's action.

Solo riders Dean Westlake and Simon Scott having a chat before the racing commenced.

The view from the sponsor's angle - Dirt Works team watch the proceedings unfold.

Paul Traynor, riding for the "Merida Australia- Advance Traders" team, hooking into the main berm in the event centre.

Paul and team-mate Troy Glennan rode their way into the outright win in both the Crank Bros Pairs Male category, as well as the overall win for the day, with 16 laps in 8:11:29.

Craig Armour, a KHS rider, wore race number 4 yesterday, and went on to ride his way to an amazing 4th place in the KHS Solo Male category!

We wonder if he'll be asking for rider number #1 at the next round.

You don't have to win to win - Brendan Pitt, one of the WSMTB Kids riders sponsored by Bright Orange Events, was the "15th rider" across the line and won himself a SDG I-Beam Seat and Saddle pair.

All of this while his brother Steven was riding his way to outright 3rd place at the Careflight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic.

Team KHS rider Trevor Hill out on the track, currently Trevor and regular team-mate Brian Price are leading the series point-score in the Crank Bros Pairs Male category.

It has to be said that yesterday Brian was unavailable to ride, and KHS Brand Manager Pat Howard more than stepped up to the plate filling in for Team KHS.

WSMTB local Steve Podmore on his way to helping his team win the FRS Plus Threes Masters category.

Another rider often seen at both KHS WWS and also WSMTB races, Tetsundo Kato looks in a little pain as he makes a blur of the surroundings.

SORCC rider Mark Austen, who clearly knew the camera was there!

Manuel Pagnin focusing out on the track

You don't have to be winning the race to walk away with great prizes. This rider was simply standing in the right spot at the right time, and walked away with a full Stan's No Tubes conversion kit to upgrade his bike with.

Mark Sangkuhl checks how he and team-mate Joey Rumbold are going on the results laptops in his first ever endurance mountain-bike race.

Winners are grinners - Duncan Miller and Phillip Learned were the winners this time around of the big KHS lucky-draw, Duncan winning the $1000 RRP cheque and Phillip the suspicious-looking guy on the right holding the great KHS XC-604 Dual-suspension frame.

Results Race 4

Was that not the most fun you've had on a mountain-bike in some time? We had a ball, and from the smiles on everyones' faces it seems everyone did! Fantastic killy-trails, and over 400 riders enjoying the KHS Working Week Series....

Race 2 - 'Fun in the Mud'

Well it wasn't too wet, but I think the event team, along with every rider, might be cleaning mud out of everything for the entire two weeks until the Nzo 24 Hour! (Speaking of which - entries are still open - head to Nzo 24 Hour for all of the details)!

Here's the provisional results. Notice an error? Email us and we'll fix the results and re-publish in a week.
